Fragrance Philosophy
Why didn’t you assign genders to your fragrances?
I believe that gender is a social construct, and it shouldn’t limit or define the way you experience fragrance. Scent is personal expression. I’ve always encouraged everyone to wear what resonates with them.
How should I choose a fragrance if there’s no gender designation?
Selecting a fragrance is about what makes you feel confident and comfortable. During my years of production, I suggested exploring fragrance families—floral, woody, citrus, etc.—and letting instinct guide the choice. That philosophy continues to guide my own work.
Product Transparency
What about fragrance allergens?
All Filigree & Shadow fragrances were meticulously formulated to adhere to International Fragrance Association (IFRA) standards and EU allergen regulations. Ingredients were always disclosed clearly, with allergens listed in accordance with EU requirements.
Were your products cruelty-free?
Yes. All fragrances were certified vegan and cruelty-free by PETA.
Past Offerings
Can I still order fragrances?
No. As of September 30, 2025, both my West Seattle studio and online shop are permanently closed. Thank you to everyone who purchased, collected, and wore my perfumes.
Will the same fragrances ever return?
Some may resurface in the future, but for now, they remain part of Filigree & Shadow’s history.
Do you still donate to STAY Rescue and Real Rent Duwamish?
Yes, until closing I donated a portion of sales to STAY Rescue and paid Real Rent to the Duwamish Tribe. Those initiatives closed with the Seattle studio chapter, but they remain a meaningful part of Filigree & Shadow’s legacy.

This is not an ending—only a new beginning. I am preparing to re-establish Filigree & Shadow in Europe, and I’ll share updates as the journey unfolds.
